Paragon Costs are pleased to be sponsoring this specialist Clinical Negligence Seminar, boasting speakers from some of the leading practitioners and Consultant Neurologist, Dr Richard Hardie.
The seminar will provide an overview of essential issues covering recent developments in law, practice and procedure and is open to both Claimant and Defendant solicitors.
Dr Richard Hardie will explore common areas of dispute in relation to breach of duty and causation in the diagnosis of acute neurological conditions including strokes, subarachnoid haemorrhages and aneurysms.
The programme includes a comprehensive review of this year’s reported clinical negligence cases and a unique “Clinical Negligence Room 101” looking at practical points and pitfalls in cases involving sequential errors and consent. The complexities of limitation arguments in a clinical negligence context will be explored in both a presentation and a workshop during the afternoon. The day will conclude with a detailed review of the nature, extent and practical applications of the Duty of Candour.
Comprehensive written materials, refreshments and lunch will be provided.
