We have a team that primarily deals in costs associated with Insurance. This includes:
- ATE premium disputes
- Costs audits
- Insurance claims
- Subrogated claims
We’re frequently instructed to deal with claims where the costs are in the multi-millions.
Examples of recent work:
- Conducting a costs audit relating to a complex employment tribunal.
- Successfully recovering an ATE premium of £189,080 in full where the paying party originally offered only £89,040 and also sought to rely on Coventry and others v Lawrence and another (No 2) [2014] UKSC 46 in an attempt to avoid paying the premium.
- Dealing with costs arising from insured losses relating to a substantial property damage claim.
- Successfully obtaining relief from sanctions where the notice of funding contained typographical errors relating to the ATE premium.
